# Who the Holy Spirit is

As part of [the Godhead](theology-god.md), the Holy Spirit shares attributes with God, but has distinctive qualities regarding Himself specifically.

The Holy Spirit works to fulfill [the Father's plans](god-will.md).

- There isn't as much in Scripture about the Spirit as there is about the Father or Son.
- This is likely intentional, since His role appears to serve more as an administrator and support role than any publicly-facing purpose.

## Falsehoods about the Holy Spirit

While [not as many as Jesus](theology-god-jesus.md), the Macedonian heresy indicates that God the Holy Spirit is merely a [creation](creations.md) of God and not one of His persons.
