# How to make timeless axioms Creating axioms is necessary to understand the world at large. - Without them, everything represents as an unmanageable wall of trivia and details. While our subconscious mind will create those axioms, we can save time by avoiding a few types of statements: 1. Do not state the axiom as a question. - If it's a question, it provides too little [certainty](understanding-certainty.md). 2. Do not state the axiom as a negative/negation. - A negation only indicates what something can't be, not what it is. 3. Do not use names that won't last for the next 100 years. - Most of what we experience is subjected to [trends](people-trends.md) that disqualify something's usefulness. 4. Avoid complex and compound sentences. - Since all axioms must be [stories](stories-why.md), they must be "primal". 5. Avoid first and second person pronouns ("you", "I"). - This isn't *always* necessary, but must be framed in a way that the axioms can be replaced with "all people" or "human nature".
