# What feelings believe Since [feelings are low-level beliefs](mind-feelings.md), this is a list of all the beliefs we can impulsively have. An easy way to parse this list is that (feeling) is a low-level understanding that (simple description). They are sorted as a type of "map" with how the feelings exist. If it's a sub-category, I try to group it by the dominant feeling. [Language](language.md) can't always precisely define feelings, so these may not be accurate. However, if you disagree, this list has accomplished its purpose because it made you think about it. ## Joy cluster Happy/Joyful/Joyous - things are well - Acceptance - things can be what they are - Blissful - things are inwardly well Elation/Elated - something is extremely favorable - Cheerful - things are so well that it should be shared - Overjoyed - things are very well - Jubilant - things are exceedingly well - Pleased/Pleasant - things are sufficient - Delighted - something is highly pleasant - Excited - something is very arousing - Ecstatic/Rapture - news of something coming is extremely favorable - Energized/Energetic - very ready to do something - Enthused/Enthusiastic - very focused on a result\ - Euphoric - extreme arousal Satisfied/Satisfaction - nothing needs to be done - Carefree - nothing in the future is needed - Lykke (Danish) - everything is perfect in life - Content/Contented - nothing is needed - Tarab (Arabic) - a musically induced state of ecstasy or enchantment - Free/Liberated - there are no obligations or responsibilities - Sukha (Sanskrit) – lasting happiness sitting independently of circumstances - Jovial/Joviality - there's nothing to be concerned about Accepted - people like you - Fulfilled - you have what you need - Grounded - something is worth [trusting](mind-trust.md) - Respected - people value what you do - Valued - people value who you are ### Joy+Disgust Eager - something absolutely must be done - Zeal/Zealous - something personally must absolutely be done Schadenfreude (German) - pleasure in someone else’s pain ## Fear cluster Fear/Fearful - something may damage something you value Embarrassed - people think badly of you - Pena ajena (Mexican Spanish) - embarrassment from seeing someone else's humiliation - Tingá (Tagalog) - bits of food are stuck between your teeth in a romantic setting ## Anger cluster ### Anger+Sadness - Betrayed - someone trusted has intentionally caused hurt ## Disgust/Displeasure cluster Unhappy - things are not well Discontent - something is not sufficient - Displeased/Unpleasant - things are not sufficient - Unfulfilled - something hasn't happened that was expected to - Dissatisfied/Unsatisfied - something should be done ### Disgust+Anger Disrespected - someone has expressed a low regard for you Malcontent - having a grudge against someone over a thwarted [purpose](purpose.md) Resentment/Resentful - something is wrong and needs fixing ## Sadness cluster Hurt - someone has caused pain - Disappointed/Let down - someone trusted failed expectations Joyless - things cannot be well - Cheerless - good things can't take away from how bad something is ### Sadness+Displeasure Agony - something has been hurting Natsukashii (Japanese) – longing for the past with sadness that it no longer exists ## Surprise cluster Captivated - attention is drawn heavily to something - Enthralled/Enchanted - heavy focus on something ## Peace cluster Peaceful - there is no danger Hygghe (Danish) - comfort from enjoying food and drink with friends and family ## Power cluster Fearless - nothing can damage anything you value
